Context
Risk data at the central bank lived in 52 separate manual risk profiles, each with its own format, owner, and update cadence. Building an institution-wide risk picture meant chasing 52 departments by hand, and it was out of date the moment it was assembled.
What I built
- Digitised all 52 manual risk profiles into a single centralised SharePoint risk register, replacing spreadsheets and email chains with one structured, always-current source
- Built Power Automate workflows around the update cycle so departments submit and refresh their risk data without manual chasing or reformatting
- Fed the register into a live Power BI dashboard, giving management real-time cross-departmental visibility instead of a static quarterly snapshot
Results
- 5,000 hours of analyst effort eliminated annually
- A single authoritative, always-current risk view where there had been 52 disconnected, manually maintained ones
- Meaningful productivity gains across the risk function from digitising a process that used to run almost entirely on manual collection and reformatting
