Hafizuddin took part in the the Sustainable Los Angeles Grand Challenges Undergraduate Research Program, in which he was assigned to the Wirz Research Group. Throughout his experience, Hafiz was reponsible for pitching ideas, researching existing methods, and create CAD models.

In his junior year, Hafizuddin was a member of the Fang Lu Mesoscopic Optics and Quantum Electronics Laboratory, where he aided in the commercialization of AR/VR glasses, alongside Prof. Wong. Hafiz represented Xavier Optics at the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Summer Bootcamp, where he served as the Vice President of Technology. Throughout his tenure, he conducted customer discovery, market analysis, and connected with potential investors who are interested in the technology

Working alongside Aurora Jiang, Hafizuddin is currently working towards building a rat capable of traversing a maze.
Hafizuddin is currently developing a script to automatically send a connection request through linkedIn, along with a personalized message which is appended using Machine Learning and Algorithms.
Hafizuddin was a technology consulting intern at Accenture, Kuala Lumpur during the summer of 2018. During his tenure as an intern, he was assigned to a project for one of Accenture's clients.
Hafizuddin was the lead programmer for the Busserbot: a robotic busser robot designed by a team of Electrical and Mechanical engineers at UCLA. Hafiz was responsible for developing the system architecture, system integrations, and individual functionalities in Webots.
